Absolutely gorgeous use of watercolors!

This looks like it came right out of a storybook I would have had as a kid. It's beautiful!

So the character and her purple familiar are the obvious focal points of this piece, but I want to talk about something else, here. I actually really appreciate the bend in the wall they're sitting on! There's something about the depth of it that really helps this picture. It would have been so easy to just make a straight wall going across the page, but I feel like this shot wouldn't look nearly as interesting if that had been the case. The bend gives the scene a sense of scale and depth, and it just conveys that what we're looking at isn't as simple as a straight path!

I don't know why! I just really loved that detail and wanted to call it out!

Thank you so much HiSS, you're so kind! Ah yes the bend in the wall. I just picked a nice reference photo for a pose and because the pose was at an angle I automatically thought: let's make a curve in the wall :) I'm glad to hear it worked out! <3

[Forest dragon]

Ok, this is amazing! I love how the coloration of the dragon speaks to how it adapted to its environment! The mossy green scales, fern-like tail, the leafy texture of its wing membranes.... it's great!

The scene also makes me wonder if - despite its regal stance - this dragon is very small and walking on a tree, or if that tree/log is just ENORMOUS, which would just speak more to the setting!

Ahah in my mind he's a tiny forest dragon walking on a branch. But I don't mind if you think that he's enourmous haha ;D

[My First Cauldron]

This is so cute! I absolutely love how excited she looks to have her first cauldron, and the little black cat (definitely a familiar) beside her is adorable!

I also really love that this picture can fit so well into either a fantasy story or just a "Halloween" picture. Multi-purpose!
